About Nomi

Nomi Eve is the author of Henna House (Scribner) and The Family Orchard (Knopf) and has two new novels on the horizon: Girl of the Cave (Running Wild Press) and The Flood Lines (Regal House). Along the way, she’s been a Book of the Month Cub pick, a National Jewish Book Council featured author and a proud frequent flyer to hundreds of book clubs – because talking with readers is her absolute favorite part of being an author.

When she’s not writing, Nomi is cheering on emerging storytellers. She spent a decade dreaming up and building the Drexel MFA in Creative Writing, a vibrant low residency program known for its industry focus and craft-driven mentorship. She directs the MFA and is an assistant professor at Drexel University.

A member of the Historical Novel Society and the Tall Poppy Writers, Nomi tells the stories that tug at her – ones rooted in history and grounded in fierce and abiding love.

A born-and-bred Philly girl, Nomi earned her MFA from Brown University and still lives just a mile from her childhood home – proof that sometimes you can go home again. She loves her readers, her students, her family and her dog… though the order depends on the day!

28 Wonderful Years! We were married on a sunny day in May with a tango, a hayride a clown and Ken Ulansey's band keeping everyone on their feet. What a blessing that we found each other. Loving you then, now and always!
